unit 9 reading and baby book assignments

Here is the baby book assignment - due in class on Monday 3/9.   Make a point to at least read through this this week so you know what you need to do.  Again, it should be a fun assignment if you pace yourself.

due after break

The only homework you have over break is one reading assignment - p. 411-417 (unit 9) due Monday after break.  You'll be reading that unit the week after break, so if you have time and want to get ahead, definitely feel free. You'll have a project with this unit (to create a baby book, a timeline of your very own development), so getting ahead would be beneficial.

If you're looking to do some extra credit, you can earn up to 10 extra points by doing this assignment. I originally gave this as a required assignment, so you can disregard the 20 point value attached to it. Everything else, though, including the grading criteria, is the same.  This is optional but is also due Monday after break, mostly so you'll have it done, if you plan to do it, and can focus on unit 9.

important update on unit 4

As I told you all last week (and in the last post) our room to make any modifications due to the snow is very limited at this point.  So, in order to stay on track and wrap up with unit 4 before vacation, we're sticking to our original schedule for unit 4, with one small modification (see below).

D block, since we don't meet Wednesday, Thursday will be our last S & P class and your test will be Friday.

B block, you don't have class on Friday, so your test is still Thursday. Unlike D block, you do have class on Wednesday, so that'll be your last S & P class.  That's the best arrangement I can make given the circumstances (this weather is unexpectedly ridiculous).

Though we won't have as much class time for this unit as I would've liked, the upside is that you're all gaining time (from not being in school all day), which should make reading and reviewing a little easier.  I've been using some of that extra time to catch up on grading, so I'll have a few things to give back to you next time we meet.
